Currency issues with Spanish TTS

I have read several past posts about the issue of currency not spoken correctly in Spanish when using text-to-speech. One of the workarounds suggested was changing the numbers into spoken words, for example changing $10.45 to diez dólares con cuarenta y cinco centavos.

I would like to know if this issue has since been resolved, and if so, what needs to be done to have the TTS speak currency correctly. If the issue still remains, does anyone have an ecmascript function that performs the change from numbers to spoken words?

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Unfortunately, the best advice is what we had given in this previous forum post,
http://support.plumvoice.com/viewtopic. ... cy#p141759

Another way to do it is to use the AT&T tts engine and use a comma instead a period (ie $2,50). However, for any other tts engine the best solution is as stated in the previous forum in the link above.
